Dr. Rasik Kantaria Jalaram Medical Services operates under the umbrella of the Shree Jalaram Satsang Mandal. Dr. Rasik Kantaria Jalaram Medical Services began in 2004 as a humble outpatient service, providing accessible healthcare to the underprivileged.

In the same year, SJSM also launched a medical diagnostic laboratory at the old temple, furthering its mission to serve the community. The vision was to offer diagnostic and medical laboratory services to all at heavily subsidized rates, covering only operational costs.

This initiative marked the beginning of Jalaram Medical Services (JMS). JMS is committed to supporting the underprivileged in society without discrimination based on race, religion, class, or gender.

Some of the key programs provided free of charge by JMS include:

  1. Chemo Sponsorship – Support for chemotherapy patients.
  2. Dialysis Sponsorship – Assistance for patients undergoing dialysis.
  3. Diabetes Sponsorship – Support for diabetes patients.
  4. GP Sponsorship – Coverage for general medical care.
  5. Eye Sponsorship – Aid for patients with eye conditions.
  6. Infectious Diseases Sponsorship – Support for patients with infectious diseases, such as TB.
  7. Medical Camps – Outreach programs conducted outside the Jalaram premises.

From 2020 to 2023, these programs have enabled JMS to provide the following services to needy members of the community at no cost, thanks to the generosity of our donor community:

Additionally, JMS has conducted several medical camps to reach patients unable to access our facility. A few notable examples include:

Kangemi Eye Camp (2023):

Held in the Kangemi area of Nairobi, this camp provided eye care to 200 people, with JMS subsequently sponsoring 45 cataract surgeries free of charge.

Audiology Medical Camp (November 2023):

This hearing camp screened 159 people with hearing issues. A follow-up camp in December 2023 saw 164 individuals fitted with hearing aids.

Kirangari Kabete Eye Camp:

Conducted in Kiambu County at St. Peter’s Kirangari Parish in Kabete Constituency, this camp was a transformative event providing free cataract surgeries and eyeglasses to those in need.

Through these programs and initiatives, JMS continues to make a significant impact on the lives of countless individuals, ensuring access to essential healthcare services for all.
